BC Hockey Player Gets His Jaw Broken By A Sucker Punch At A Pizza Place, Could Be Out For The Season
“A member of the Boston College men’s hockey team is “out indefinitely” after being assaulted Friday at a pizza parlor on Boylston Street, according to a press release from the school’s athletic communications department.
Kevin Lohan, a 6-foot-5 defenseman, was “victimized by an unprovoked assault,” and Boston police are investigating, according to the school.
Police said officers responded around 2:05 a.m. for a report of an assault and battery at Domino’s at 1260 Boylston St. in Boston. Lohan’s girlfriend told police they had been standing in line at the pizza shop when a group of about six to eight individuals “began pushing in line” and “out of nowhere” one of the suspects punched her boyfriend in the face and knocked him to the ground, according to a police report provided by Officer Rachel McGuire, a department spokeswoman.” (via the Boston Globe)
Tough hit for Kevin Lohan. Guy is just trying to grab a pie with his lady friend at 2 am on Boylston street and gets suckered punched and basically knocked out because a couple of squids got antsy and don’t know how a line works. The cowards then ran off while Lohan had to be taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for a jaw injury.

Lohan, currently a grad senior at BC, has played in 14 games for the Eagles this season recording 0 goals and 3 assists. The Cold Spring Harbor, New York native spent the previous four years at Michigan, where he red shirted his junior season leaving him one more season of eligibility, which he is using at BC to get his masters in Sports Administration. The 6’5’’ 215lbs defenseman served as the assistant captain for the Wolverines last season.
Lohan will be out of the Eagles lineup indefinitely with a jaw injury and sounds like this could even end his season.
